The DSC Logistics Warehouse in Roanoke, TX is a 602,000 sq ft, one-story logistical warehouse. Cailor & Associates performed analysis and design of the post-tensioned “superflat” slab-on-ground for very heavy rack loads, forklift loads and huge paper roll storage.
This was accomplished using only 5″ or 6″ thick slabs post-tensioned in both directions. Typical joint spacings were over 300′ facilitating quick construction as well as allowing the use of high-speed automated rack forklifts.
