The Hotel Contessa in San Antonio, TX is a 220,000 sq ft, thirteen-story atrium hotel located on the Riverwalk. Cailor & Associates designed a concrete frame system to bridge approximately 80 feet over the atrium from the sixth level to the roof level. Performed 2D/3D analyses of the frame system for gravity, wind and seismic loads.
Cailor & Associates designed the frames, columns and beams for gravity, wind and seismic loads as well as provided conceptual consulting regarding layout, dimensions and details. C&A also designed all post-tensioned flat-plate slabs and beams plus the River Level mild-reinforced structurally supported flat-plate on grade.
