Residential Tower Design Review in Charlotte, NC is a 300,000 square feet; twenty-five story mixed-use residential tower. Cailor & Associates performed an independent and thorough design review of the floors of the residential tower to investigate concerns expressed during construction. First, we visited the project site to view the structure and the concerns of the various parties. Our design review included a review of the contract documents including the specifications and drawings.
We then performed an independent design review of all the post-tensioned floor slabs using both the Equivalent Frame Method (EFM) and also the Finite Element Method (FEM). Our investigation concluded with a thorough report expressing our findings, opinions and recommendations. The report included tables, 2D graphs and 3D graphics to help convey our findings to all parties concerned.
